About Rusty
Gorgeous Rusty spent his life living in a hoarder house with many other dogs, until he managed to escape and was taken to the pound, where he came into foster care with us.
Poor, poor Rusty! He was absolutely terrified of everything and everybody. He would stand frozen and completely unmoving if a human was spotted!
We have gently and slowly worked every day with him, and encouraged him to relax and begin to trust, for the first time in his life.
Rusty has worked so hard to overcome his fears and is now ready to find his forever home.
He is a really awesome dog!! He absolutely loves the other dogs in his foster home, and has gained confidence from them while learning to trust.
Rusty now loves having his leash on and going for his daily walk, and is also a fabulous little car traveller.
He is completely toilet trained, uses a doggie door and sleeps quietly at night.
He loves his tucker too.
Rusty is still unsure around new, noisy places and would be better in a quieter home without very young children.
Please note we are located in Moree, northern NSW, and Rusty needs his forever family to drive to collect him. We would not put him on pet transport.
Make sure when you contact us through PetRescue you tell us why you think you could be a great fit for Rusty. Also answer the following questions:-
1) Is everyone in your household ready and wanting to adopt Rusty?
2) Are you able to drive to Moree to collect?
3) Do you have Landlords permission to have a small dog?
4) Please describe your fencing.
