About Talbert
Talbert is a 20 month old Old English Sheepdog x Standard Poodle who has come into rescue needing a new home due to his Dad needing heart surgery and not being able to care for him . It was a very sad decision made by his family and not one made lightly.
We have been entrusted to find this beautiful dog a new home with a family who have experience with oodle breeds . Talbert would also like a friend to play with . He is currently in a foster home with lots of little dogs and although he is OK with them he needs a bigger dog to be able to compete with his exhuberance .. We do not know how he would be with cats .
We would also consider a home without another dog where his family are home all the time , Working from home or young retirees who could give Talbert the attention and time he loves . Talbert can be anxious if left alone for long periods of time and may not work in a full time working family situation
Talbert weighs 28 kilos and is a kind , intelligent, lovely young dog. He is housetrained and loves being inside with everyone . He is excellent with fencing and not at all destructive. His manners are good although but he can still be a little strong on a lead.
The new family for Talbert will be able to manage his grooming needs as his coat gets clipped every 3 months or so. He is good to have that done and enjoys all the attention
Talbert is desexed, fully vaccinated and life time registered and in foster care in Hinton near Maitland

We require an initial application and then if a dog seems a match we can arrange a meet and greet at a local park or the foster carers home. If the meet is successful we then arrange a yard check and if that is satisfactory we require full payment on picking up the dog.
We then give a 2 week trial and if in that time it is not working we will refund all but $50 for admin costs. We also require that the adopter returns our dogs back to us at any time in its lifetime (without a refund) for us to rehome.
