About Poppy
Poppy is adventurous, loving and playful. A confident and happy little kitty who has a beautiful black coat with a white tuxedo accompanied by white socks on all paws. She is dressed to impress!
Poppy loves to hang out on a lap or tuck in under her hooman's neck. Failing that, boxes are a favourite or sleeping under laundry.
Poppy loves to greet you in the morning and when you get home and will expect a cuddle...you'll be rewarded with some very loud purring and a kitty snuggle. She will purr with a tiniest of tickles then turn the volume up.
Poppy is already extremely helpful for anyone working from home and adept at walking over keyboards and sitting in front of screens!
Poppy is very affectionate and became more so when her kitty siblings were adopted. She's happy with children and other pets and would love to be friends with our cats (they're not interested) and our dog (he's scared!)
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
