About Margarita
Introducing Margarita!
Margarita is more like the pizza and less like the drink – calm, relaxed, loves and loved by everybody, and ready for a quiet night in. Margarita is a wonderful all round cat. She is very affectionate and will give you head butts for days, she loves some ear and cheek rubs and if you scratch her in just the right place under the chin she will give you a wide kitty smile. But just like any cat, she has her limits and will let you know she has had enough pats by moving away, or (if you don’t quite get the message) a gentle bite or pat with her paw.
While Margarita seems very comfortable and relaxed around humans (often greeting her foster parents with a gentle chirp), she has not quite figured out this lap cat thing yet and generally prefers to sleep in her own space (the higher the better – or is that just because she is trying to escape her kitten?). Despite being a mum, Margarita is still really a kitten herself, and she plays like it! She loves to run, jump, and pounce, and particularly enjoys a string toy or a small toy she can bat and throw up into the air. If you also have a cat tunnel, this would be an added bonus as Margarita loves to sprint through one during her daily zoomies. If you are looking for a way to bond, play (and food) are definitely the way to do it!
As Margarita is so relaxed and independent, she would be a good fit for many types of homes. She is happy around other cats, but also wouldn’t mind having all the attention and toys to herself. As long as someone gives her some affection and play time every day, she wouldn’t mind a home where the owners had to be out of the house during the day. Margarita is untested around children but given
her nature we think she would do well in a home with older children who were able to respect whenshe needs her alone time. Margarita is untested around dogs.
