Snugglebug in need of a patient, loving family

E.B is a beautiful loving boy that came to us as a very scared pup. In his few weeks in foster care E.B has had 2 mentor dogs teaching him how to be a dog (good habits and the ummm not so great!!) and a family showing him love and that humans can in fact be kind and trusted. Every day includes a full belly, a trip into the big wide world, playtime, snuggles (dog & human) and a companion to sleep with at night to make E.B feel safe and secure.

Under this combined K9 and human mentorship E.B has started to feel confident enough to show us a very soft, gentle and cheeky personality. His favourite mates are our resident dogs and our children. He loves the adults in our home also but that is relationship where trust needs to be built and respect gained.

E.B will need a family that has patience to build a relationship with him. He is still learning that humans are in fact fabulous and have love to offer him. The more E.B feels safe the more he sheds his shell and shows you what a loving boy he is. A home with children and a resident dog would be ideal for E.B, he is coming along in leaps and bounds by having other doggo’s show him the way.

E.B will also need space to play…many enrichment toys would be ideal as E.B will test the durability of whatever he can wrap his chompers around. He’s very quiet with this activity too, fair to say he is learning what “is and isn’t” a chew toy!

E.B considers himself a bit of a Jamie Durie around the yard. He has very kindly pruned our succulents, rearranged our garden gnomes and turned some soil for us..what a guy! Did we mention enrichment toys….

E.B has quite the culinary passion….if food is left anywhere he can eat it….he will eat it! He is still learning his table manners, it’s fair to say he is NOT a fuss pot when it comes to food! He will absolutely help other pets finish their dinner also! Training has only just begun but this little man is pretty switched on. He will grasp basic commands quite easily.

E.B has been living with a two year old kelpie x, a 5 year old foster (pug/French bulldog) 1 child (9) 1 x teen (14), 2 adults, and 2 cats. E.B has met the cats but has no idea what to make of them although he is now confident enough to find them intriguing. There is no negative behaviour towards cats, just curiosity.

E.B is every gentle in his movements. He will nuzzle into you for a snuggle or a pat, he is very gentle in taking treats from you and will happily curl up with you for a snooze. He is not a jumpy dog.

In E.B’s short time with us he has gone from no toilet training to almost mastered it! He has followed the lead of his doggo friends in the house and is getting the hang of a great dog life.

We have been walking E.B with a harness which he is getting used to. He needs ongoing direction and training with walking as it’s clear this activity is very new to him. Everything needs to be sniffed and explored, he currently walks in an unpredictable zigzag pattern that will keep you guessing!

E.B will be the best addition to the right family, this beautiful boy will absolutely flourish and continue to grow into an amazing dog with continued love, patience and training.
