Periwinkle is a gentle goofy girl and a sneaky cuddle monster who loves to snuggle on the couch next to you. She is a well-mannered smart girl who learns the do’s and don’ts very quickly.

Periwinkle loves to sleep in her bed while her foster mum works from home, loves standing up on her back legs to give a big hug, enjoys supervising all the cooking in the kitchen and watching the birds and butterflies while relaxing in the garden. She is a happy camper and an easy-going girl who is just so full of love and affection.
If you enjoy the company of a cheeky girl who will be your shadow, Periwinkle is your girl! She is calm, friendly, affectionate, good with routine, playful, energetic (with an ability to switch off as required) and receptive to commands and your vibe.
She hardly barks at home; however, she does bark a bit when strangers come home, or she is in a new environment and a bit unsure about it. After a reassuring chat and kisses she calms down and is up for cuddles right away. It is just a normal "who are you" bark and with some training and building her confidence further, this behaviour should settle.

Although quite large compared to her foster sisters, she is very gentle and lives extremely well with them. She doesn’t mind sharing her bed and her space with her foster sisters.
She is also good being home alone with her foster sisters and has been tested for a few hours without any issues. However, ongoing training will be beneficial.
She has shown she can share food and valued items and trusts her people. However, some supervision at dinner time will be helpful if you are feeding multiple dogs at the same time.

Periwinkle would love to go to a home with a similar sized dog as being quite a young dog, she enjoys a good run around and playing with her doggy mates. As her energy levels are moderate, she would be happy with a medium sized backyard with regular beach walks, hiking trails and all other adventures you could possibly think of. She travels well in the car.
Periwinkle will benefit from continued lead training with someone who handles her with strength and confidence as she is very intuitive.
She is already doing well with commands like sit, no, go slow, come here, go to bed etc. She is learning to wait patiently for her food and treats, when to go to her bed and how to follow a routine.
Periwinkle sleeps through the night and is toilet trained. Some training to use the doggy door will really help her to have a good mix of indoor and outdoor time. She is best suited for a home where he is included in activities, adventures, and everyday life as much as possible.
Teenagers or upper primary dog-savvy kids will be good for Periwinkle. Not tested with young children although she should be fine with them after sufficient training and supervision.
