About Milo - 8 Week Old Foxhound X (On Trial 7/6/23)
Milo was rescued from the Pound after being found alone wandering in the bush. He has been loved back to health by his foster family and is ready to find his forever home.
Milo is about 8 weeks old and his dominant breed is Foxhound. While he is quite small right now we expect that he will grow to be a medium to large dog so a reasonable yard will be a must.
Milo is coming out of his shell and loves a play with his foster brother who is a boisterous young staffy cross. This is usually followed by a cuddle and a snooze.
Milo is learning to toilet train and is starting to come when called. He likes to chew (including fingers!) and has sharp little puppy teeth which really young kids might find challenging.
He has been extensively handled by his foster family including a 9 and 11 year old so is used to primary aged humans. He is quite a placid little one right now and prefers to have someone close by, so a family where people are home much of the time would be perfect. He sleeps under his foster mums desk while she works from home at the moment.
Milo's adoption fee is $700.00 which includes their desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.
Milo is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW. Since they are not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when they are 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Milo, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions, you can send an email to chantelle.robards@gmail.com.
You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Medical notes
As Milo is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
