NOTE: You are unable to meet Birdie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Birdie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs. I can get a bit jealous of other dogs so any other dogs sharing my family will have to be tolerant of this.
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A Mature household would best suit me

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me.

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET BIRDIE IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET BIRDIE BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
