About Laifu
Meet Laifu, the darling senior dog on the hunt for the home where she can truly rest her paws for the remainder of her life.
Laifu has been lucky enough to spend quite a lot of time in a foster home, where she had a little dog companion. Laifu is blind and going deaf, and initially settling into the home can be confusing as she takes time to understand her surroundings, where she can go and not go, and where everything is situated. She is a dog that will thrive with routine and consistency.
Don't let the age fool you, Laifu loves going for a walk but she only needs about 20 minutes. She will bounce around like a puppy at the start which is super cute! Once she's comfortable she will even seek out people and dogs to make friends with. She also enjoys walking with her dog companion.
She is a polite little lady, she enjoys her meals and is very gracious when eating, she does not guzzle down food and will not interfere with others food whilst being fed. She has had some dental work whilst she has been in care, and she does eat kibble and treats but very hard/tough treats and chews should be avoided.
Laifu is a lady of leisure but needs and loves her routine. She isn't a fan of being picked up or carried, and can be startled easy if she is unaware people are approaching her, or with loud and unexpected noises. It's incredibly important that her new owners advocate for her when she is out and about so she isn't rushed by animals, people or kids.
Her carers say she is quite the gentle & sweet companion. She will sleep and relax by herself, however, she will seek attention wherever she can get it. She is excitable when she knows she's going for a walk and may prevent shoes being put on due to her excited nature, she does not chew or destroy personal property but can be quite adamant in seeking pats and cuddles.
If this golden girl sounds like the lady you need, please enquire about her today!
