A true gentle giant, Caballo is a very good boy, who wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap…ok, near your lap, but there’s no guarantee he won’t at least try to see if he’ll fit in your lap first.

Caballo is cool, calm and collected. House trained, this boy is happy to snooze most of the day away, and is totally fine at home while the humans are at work, as long as you’re keen for a lot of cuddles when you get home. He’ll eagerly greet you at the door with his big swishing tail, but he has learnt to sit and wait for you to greet him before he greets you back. He waits politely for you to tell him he can eat his meals and has proven to be a quick learner whilst brushing up on his manners whilst in foster care.

Good on lead, once he overcomes the pure excitement of heading out for a walk, Caballo enjoys a meander around the block, just as much as a swift, longer walk. He’s adaptable. It’s his thing. While he is good on lead, he is a sight hound so no fluffy dogs or dog parks for this boy, he requires someone familiar with stronger breeds as he can pull quite impressively when he see’s a lots of doggy activity.

While he is gentle, affectionate and curious around children, he would be better suited to a family with older children, purely because his long, strong tail is often wagging and is a just the right height to scare little kids with it’s helicopter loops.

Endlessly affectionate and eager to please, Caballo is eagerly waiting to find his forever home.
