About Mike
This boy came to us last week, with another female dog, and we were told they were bonded. We have realised that they are not too bothered with each other, since living in foster with a few others. We’ve had a few times where we have separated them on taking them out on outings with no issues.
We weren’t given much history of the circumstances but they had to go, as owners situation changed, whatever that was…
Mikey was adopted from the rspca when he was 3 and he is 11, but don’t tell him that.
He has been well looked after and we are surprised how fit and energetic he is for his age. He is a healthy weight range, which sometimes can be hard for a older dog.
Mikey has bounds of energy still, but does have arthritis in his right front leg. So we are treating it with rosehip Vital and the occasional meloxicam.
He is bloody awful
To walk on lead, as he is a bull at a gate.
So we think the best home is a big block or acreage, where he can run around on his own.
He is great with other dogs, so a friend would be great, but he wouldn’t mind being the only spoilt furkid in the house.
Definitely NO cats. He isn’t a barker.
Very respectful of food.
Mikey just needs a soft place to land, and a lovely retirement home, as we feel maybe in recent times, he has been in some stressful situations.
Mikey is on the Gold Coast.

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
