Rusty came into care a very nervous dog, not having much exposure to new things in her short life. After being in care for awhile she has learnt that people can provide love and affection.
Rusty can’t get enough of her people and gets a wiggly wiggly tail for any attention she can get. She can be hesitant with new people especially men, but warms up to them quickly especially if a treat is involved.
Rusty often has visits from a young child who she thinks is the best thing ever and enjoys playing chasey in the yard with a toy with kids.
She loves other dogs too and often follows their lead in new situations. A play mate would be nice for Rusty, but it is no longer essential-she is often home alone without issue.
Rusty is an energetic young dog that will need stimulation so she doesn't get up to mischief. This shouldn't be too hard though, as she likes playing fetch with the ball and teasing her fur sister when she gets the ball. Rusty is still learning to bring the ball back, as she is too busy enjoying playing chase with her dog companion. She also walks well on the lead and enjoys visiting all the different places around her foster home.
A bonus is Rusty has a beautiful big deep bark so would keep your house protected.
Rusty is getting the hang of her basic commands and can sit and wait for dinner well. She has not shown any food aggression towards people or other dogs.
After spending a long time in care Rusty deserves her second chance at a forever home. She is a very friendly and delightful dog that will provide endless entertainment. Rusty cant wait for her "paw-ever" family to come and meet her!
Rusty is $350 and comes microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
