Toby (was Sweet Potato)

Meet Sweet Potato, as his name suggests he is the SWEETEST boy around. He absolutely adores his foster humans and giving lots of kisses and cuddles.

This striking pup is after a family who will dedicate their time and energy to on-going socialisation and teaching him new skills. Puppy school at our SCAR Shelter is covered in his adoption fee but He would benefit from going to group classes as he gets older too.

Sweet Potato is a good boy and will sleep independently when required but much prefers to be cuddled like a baby if possible. It would be nice if his new family could practice independence training for when he is older.

He enjoys his treats and will do lovely sitting for one. He is learning how to take treats gently from his 9-year-old foster child and also how to shake and do turns.

His favorite game is tug of war with the rope and ball. He has not been
around other dogs in foster but has been around cats. He could definitely live with a sociable adult dog in his new home as long as his family can provide a puppy area for on-going management.

He shows good interest in cats but would benefit from being around one that won't run away but teach him appropriate manners.

This beautiful loving boy would be a blessing to any family.

PUPPY ADOPTION The adoption fee for this puppy includes a large bag of premium puppy food and a free Puppy Preschool or Puppy Primary School Course with our fantastic trainer here at SCAR. Please note: We often have many adoption applications for puppies. We understand that this means that some fantastic homes will miss out and do our best to make our processes as fair as possible. We take a "First In, Best Home" approach and aim to build a great relationship with our adopters built on conversations, not forms. Sometimes this means that it takes us more than 5 days to reply to all applicants. Please be assured that we will let you know as soon as we can, once a puppy has a meet secured.
