About Olive 35129
-Open to meet children 8+ years
-Best as only dog
-Requires puppy training
-Approx. 14kg
Hi, I’m Olive.
When I came into the facility I was very scared! I had to be carried from place to place by the carers here. I’ve gained some confidence since then and now I’m ready to find my forever home. When I’m in my kennel I’m very quiet and sit patiently in my bed. When I’m out on a walk I can be quite vocal and anxious, which is probably because I’ve never been walked before.
I really love people now, I like to nuzzle into my carers arms and receive cuddles. This makes me feel safe, but I know I have to stand on my own too! With some training, my confidence on walks and in new places will improve greatly.
I’m open to living with children who are 8 years and older, so bring them in to meet me! I’ve met other dogs here at the facility and at the moment I’m not sure how to interact properly for now I’d be best as the only dog at home. I’d be open to walking with dogs outside the home in a controlled and positive matter to help with my socialisation skills.
Once I’m comfortable and confident, I’ll probably be an active and playful girl! I really like playing with a ball and fluffy toys, so I hope there’s plenty of those at home for me! I’d also like to be inside with my family in my new home, as I’ve never had that opportunity before.
If you can offer me a safe and loving home, apply below.

Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
