About Riley
Hi my name is Riley! I am an almost 3 year old female Kelpie cross with something scruffy, making me extra adorable.
I love to play! I will play with anything I am allowed to, I like people, toys and play well with other dogs. I am still learning that it isn’t always play time and my humans need a rest! I am getting very good at playing on my own, with my toys. My foster family and I have a great time! We go running, we go to the beach and do lots of work around the yard. I always stay close to my people and my kelpie foster brother.
I can be a little nervous in new surroundings or around new people, however, I really do love people and I do warm up quickly! Although I love the company of my foster family, and once my family have tired me out with training and games I have learnt an off switch and will chill in the yard or on my bed until someone is ready to play again!
I have only learnt a few commands so far and am getting the hang of my training sessions. I can sit and my recall is great, even when I see something really interesting like a kangaroo I always come back when foster mum calls. She says that’s really clever and I get lots of praise. I am also getting used to my crate, and I will wait patiently until I am let back out.
Riley is looking for a family who will continue her training and work with her to build her confidence. Riley plays nicely with other dogs so would love being in a home with a confident doggie pal. If her owners were home more often than not she would also suit being an only dog. She is friendly towards children although she is easily excited so older children would be best.
If you are looking for a cute and scruffy playful pal, then apply today!
Riley is located in NSW…

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
