About Layla
Layla is an adorable miniature English Staffordshire Terrier with a friendly, playful, and independent nature.
Layla's favourite toys are tennis balls and tug ropes, and she loves to play games like tag, bull rush, and tug-of-war.
She is a quick learner and always eager to please. Since being with her foster family, Layla has learned a lot about being a house dog and has come to appreciate the comforts of a home. She has good manners, sleeps quietly through the night, is toilet trained and enjoys learning new tricks to please the humans and earn her tasty rewards.
Despite her small size, Layla is strong and fast and is not suited, at this point to being walked by children. She is interested in other dogs and has not shown any aggression towards them, but she must be kept on a lead. Layla would thrive in a one-dog household that can provide a predictable routine and a calm environment. She is an excellent traveller and enjoys going on trips to the shops or long car rides with her humans.
She is the type of dog who will be her person's shadow and “helper” at all times until she is sure you can cope without her. She is also, almost always up for a game, a cuddle, a run or to snore next to you while you watch Tv.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Layla is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Layla is recovering from a serious skin infection that she needs her humans to monitor and treat. She is afraid of being bathed but is responding to gentle sponge baths. She loves a rub down with moisturising creams. Layla carries MSRP and is not suitable for a home with anyone with a compromised immune system or open wounds, but poses no risk otherwise. This little dog has a rough start in life but is responding well to training and lots and lots of attention.
