Winston - 3 Month Old Cattle Dog (Trial)

Meet Winston - a loveable, intelligent 3 month old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) male puppy.

Winston is excited to join in on family activities by day and sleep at your feet by night, He is a typical cattle dog pup with equal amounts of energy and love to give. Winston is an extremely intelligent boy, picking up basic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘leave it’, ‘stay’ and ‘no’ quickly. He has responded well to toilet training and loves to please.

In his foster home, Winston has a dog sibling and is allowed inside when his humans are home. Winston would love a home with another canine friend or a human around more often than not. As Winston has not yet lived without fellow dogs, a home where he is the only dog would require his humans to be interactive and up for frequent play and ongoing socialisation with other dogs.

Winston will grow to be a medium-sized, strong dog who will need ongoing training to ensure his working dog traits are directed positively to avoid unwanted behaviour. Winston will need a commitment to two exercise sessions a day as well as opportunities for mental stimulation

Winston’s ideal forever home would be a stable one with another dog, and if not, one where the human/s are dedicated to providing ongoing exercise, stimulation and dog socialisation. Winston’s new home would require a yard with secure fencing.

Winston has been on a number of adventures already and is looking for the right home to provide many more.

NOTE: Winston has 4 siblings: Skip (M), Ranger (M), Clover (F), Gypsy (F). Their profiles will be online (or coming) while they are available for adoption. Please note on your application if you’d like to be considered for any of his siblings if you are not selected as the best-fit applicant for Winston.

Winston’s adoption fee is $800 and he is microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.

Winston is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW. He is not yet desexed, therefore he is only available for adoption in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing (included in adoption fee) when approximately 5-6 months old. Out of area applications will not be considered.
