About Tex
Meet Tex - an outgoing, courageous, and loving little feline who's eagerly awaiting a family to call his own. Our active friend is always first to the food bowl and first to greet any new guests, making him quite the life of the party.
Tex, together with his brother Boston, forms an unforgettable twin duo with their contrasting yet very complimentary traits. Together, they make every day into an exciting adventure. Fearless and ever curious, Tex is the brave explorer of the pair, bringing an infectious enthusiasm wherever he goes.
Despite his playful and outgoing nature, Tex still has a soft side. He is gentle, affectionate, and takes time out from the day's exploits to offer a cozy cuddle or a kind smooch. Not only does he respect other cats, but he also remains a delightful companion, effortlessly lighting up the room with his presence.
While Tex and Boston love to be together, they can also thrive independently if required. When you're not around, Tex isn't afraid to entertain himself. Yet, when his favourite people come into the room, everyone feels the warmth of Tex's affection.
Give this friendly and brave explorer a chance to become part of your family. If you're looking for a cat who's as big-hearted as his namesake state - Tex is your boy!

Medical notes
Tex has been in care most of his life but has recently been tested for FIV and has been found to be FIV+, this means his immune system is not as robust as in an FIV negative cat. However, there is now a lot of research and studies that show FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives just like FIV negative cats, if they receive a high quality diet and routine veterinary care, and live an indoor lifestyle to prevent exposure to harmful parasites and infectious diseases.
FIV negative and positive cats can live together with minimal risk of transmission of FIV. FIV is only transferred via deep bite wounds, not through behaviours such as mutual grooming or through fomites, as the virus can not survive outside the infected cat's body for any length of time.
