Hello, my name is Patrick.

I am a big handsome boy, with a big sooky heart. Everyone here loves me, and I love them, but I'm ready to find my forever home - and I am particular about the right one!

I am smart and strong, and due to my size, I am not suitable for you if you are older, or if you have young children in the home. I need a fit, energetic family who can manage my strength on walks. I should wear a front attach harness to help with that, and I am used to wearing one.

Do you have experience with my breed? This is very important, as I need someone who can relate to me and my needs. You will also need to understand that I must have a very slow introduction to the world - it's a big scary place for me! For that reason, a professional trainer would be a big help as I definitely need ongoing training. This will be super important to help me the best dog I can be! For this reason I also need someone home FT, or at least PT to help me settle in to a new home.

I must be the only pet in my new home, no other dogs, no cats or other small animals. Introducing me to other dogs should be done slowly. I have played with some other dogs here, and lived with another dog in the past, but I do pick and choose the dogs I like and who I don't.

I know this sounds daunting, so I will be foster to adopt to begin with, so you have all the support from the vets and behaviour team here at the RSPCA.
