About Macaulay ๐
Please note: can be adopted or fostered and needs a home with a suitable cat companion.
Hello, Iโm Macaulay!
I really love long, slow pats and scritches around the ears. I like to check out what my people are up to throughout the day, and sometimes I follow them around. I've started enjoying snoozing in bed at night and I'm quickly getting used to being picked up and carried around. I'm slowly becoming a real snuggle bug!
I can be a bit wary with people I donโt know, and Iโve been told I have a grumpy expression most of the time, but thatโs just my eyebrows! Iโll let you know how I feel in other ways, like long slow blinks to tell you I love you and a big purr when Iโm feeling comfortable.
You might be wondering why a cat as handsome and distinguished as me is only just looking for his forever home, but Iโve been busy! When my foster family picked me up, I was helping to raise five kittens - pretty unusual for a tomcat, right? My co-parent Munro and I were living in an abandoned block (sheโs the cute tortie in my photos). Each night sheโd take two or three of the kittens out to find dinner while I guarded the rest. I was pretty mad when our fosters picked us up - I thought we were doing a pretty good job on our own! But I have to admit that living inside has definitely been a lot nicer, and easier!
Iโm ready for the quiet life, so young children probably arenโt a good fit for me, but anyone can be my friend with a bit of patience.
You might notice my lack of a tail - nothing to worry about, I was born that way. Munro and a few of the kids are the same way, itโs just genetics! Apparently, we have some sort of Manx heritage, which I think is pretty fancy.
I really love other cats, so Iโd like to go to a home with a friendly cat - I'm ready to be besties. If you donโt already have one, maybe one of my family can come too?
