Nulla at only 7 months found herself without a home, sacred, skinny, with multiple scars ending up in a pound on a cold hard floor, sad and helpless not knowing what future lay ahead of her. We saved her but now she needs you to offer her that forever home

Nulla is a Staghound x Bull arab weighing 25 kilo so she doesn't seem to be going to be a huge girl swe are thinking a larger size med guessing 30 - 33 kilos at full growth

Since coming into care this timid girl is now showing how much love she can and wants to give to everyone around her. She is the happiest, hanging out with you. Full of energy and fun, she would love to find an active family to call her own.
Nulla has beautiful features hard to capture on camera, she has a white wispy muzzle showing her wolfhound genes and a little patch of brown with delicately painted eyeliner to bring out her stunning eyes.

Interaction with humans
Nulla looooves people. At first shy around new people, she soon warms up and we have now noticed she is happy so say hello to anyone that shows her attention. Nulla will become your most loyal pal, thrives being around humans, will follow you and be your shadow. Nulla likes to be the center of your attention and will nuzzle her way in for pats, now knowing she has to sit first. Her new family needs to be committed to her training to continue to see her excel as she has in foster care. Nulla has been exposed to kids on bikes, trains, cars, a cat and shown no reactivity.
Interaction with other dogs/ animals
Nulla has been observed to interact well with most dogs she has met. She is timid in new situations as she’s still learning about life. So far she has shown polite manners to other dogs, not their face, but with all dogs, meetings need to be done slowly and with caution. She may give out a bark if she sees another dog but is easily distracted with a leave command . She doesn’t like other dogs sniffing her bum or trying to jump her so can be a bit snappy in these situations but will warm up with time if walked together. When off lead Nulla just looks for her playmate, Fudge, to chase, rough and tumble with. She is a high energy girl and would love to have a male mate to hang out with. She is not fussed by other dogs in the area if he is around, eyes only for him . She has shown good recall, l if going up to other dogs and is called back. She will leave and return to you. She would thrive in a home where she could have some high energy friends like herself
She does like a good game of chase and will run and run and then plop into a puddle of water if she finds one
Nulla is fed breakfast and dinner and chew treats separately as she will try to eat out of other dogs bowls. She doesn't like other dogs taking food from her either. She is fine waiting her turn if everyone is getting a small snack.
Nulla has met a cat and was unsure what it was, she did not attempt to chase so we feel she would be ok in a home with a dog savvy cat
Obedience
Nulla came into foster care without much training but being young and treat driven she is showing great progress now knowing how to sit, stay for food, mat, outside, leave. Her carer has been working with her daily to help instill good manners and we hope her new home will continue her training. Putting the hard work in early would allow her to blossom into an obedient well mannered girl
Nulla whilst off lead shows good recall but that could be as she has two other resident dogs to hang out with but we feel once bonded with her owner will be able to spend time off lead in dog friendly areas like beach or parks
Independence
Nulla initially took time to settle into her new home with a bit of howling but this only lasted a day or so, not unexpected in a highly stressed dog so it’s important to give her time and patience to settle, she now is comfortable being outside on her own for part the day and will settle well at night. She is not overly barky unless someone walks past the house. Nulla will need toys for stimulation , loves destroying soft toys, chewing cow hooves and other interactive toys.
Inside the home
Nulla is still learning her manners and being tall has taken a few snacks off the kitchen bench. She has also had a few accidents which have improved significantly, now using the doggy door to toilet.
As she is still a pup can be opportunistic in finding things to chew, but generally just likes to take items onto her bed. She is learning her toy box is for her and she enjoys picking out a toy to chew or destroy ( especially fluffy ones). She will jump up on the couch for a cuddle or nap, but does know off and bed/mat and can be redirected. She is happy to be directed to her bed during human meal times
Exercise
Nulla is a high energy girl
She gets extremely excited when she gets to the park for a walk and squeals with excitement.
She can initially be strong on the lead but is tolerant of a halti which has made walking a lot easier. She has been doing a lot of practice with walking nicely alongside her carer and responds well with a martingale collar but this is after she has had a good run to expel some energy. In two weeks she has come a long way, so proud of this clever girl. Walked alone without the resident dogs she is well behaved on halti and lead.
Car travel
Nulla enjoys car rides, jumps in and out with no problems
Food
Nulla arrived underweight with her ribs showing so we increased her food intake to, where now, is a healthy weight. She is being fed dry Savourlife puppy and prime roll at night as an extra treat. A slow feeder bowl is recommended as she does tend to wolf her food down in a few seconds. She is fed separately from her house mates as she will try and steal out their bowl. She enjoys marrow bones, cow hooves and other natural chews> she is gentle taking food from your hand. She does get excited about food but now knows she doesn't get anything till she sits and waits
Hygiene
Beautiful girl has an easy to care for coat. She currently has minimal shed, enjoys a brush and groom. She enjoys water and has had an outside bath. On her walk on a warm day she did find a muddy puddle to cool off in . Initially unhouse trained but with access to a doggy door she has made great improvements.
Sleep
Nulla sleeps on her dog bed in her carers room
She sleeps all night if toileted before bed. She enjoys a cuddle in bed if allowed.
Ideal home
Nulla would love a playmate. Male only with lots of energy and who likes boisterous play and being chased. She would be ok as an only dog too, if she has someone around to give her lots of exercise and stimulation.
An active family is a must, needs daily walks/ runs in areas where she can run off lead in the future to expel her energy
No apartment or small yards will be considered. Medium to large property required
