About Squib
Meet the biggest class clown, Squib, an 11-week-old cattle dog x kelpie.
This chunky entertainment unit is a happy, outgoing and confident barrel of a puppy.
He’s full of beans and loves to play with people and dogs alike. His favourite games are tug and fetch, though he’s still learning to bring the ball back.
Squib is sharp as a tack, and loves his treats, which makes him a great candidate for training. He already knows sit and drop, and is crate trained. He’s going well with his toilet training, but is just a baby, and will need ongoing guidance to become fully toilet trained.
Squib is a typical cattle dog puppy with no concept of space awareness or subtlety who tends to barrel into things and ask questions later.
He’s been making good progress learning to be polite with the resident dogs, but if there is another dog in the home, he would be best matched with a playful and social dog who won’t get offended by his rough play and will have the confidence to let him know when he needs to calm down.
Squib would also be fine as a single dog if he can spend most of his time with his humans. He loves pats and belly rubs!
Squib is looking for active humans who will give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation, allow him inside as part of the family, and include him in all their adventures. His new family must be committed to his socialisation and ongoing training to make sure he develops into a well-adjusted adult.
If you think Squib might be the sidekick you’ve been searching for, send us an application with some details about the life you can offer him.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
