Meet Farnsey, a 13 ½ year-old Kelpie X Border collie who is looking for a relaxed family who can give him some TLC.
Farnsey is a medium sized, very sweet gentleman who loves the ladies.
As far as we know he has lived with one lady owner for at least most of his life and is looking for a home where he can be allowed inside to enjoy the company of his humans, and with a small-medium sized yard he can potter around in.
He walks well on a lead and once he gets going, he is happy for a little run. He would only need a short walk around 20-30 minutes per day.
Farnsey would be best in a home with no young children under 12, as he is a shy boy who needs his own space.
He is not the biggest fan of other dogs and would need to be the only dog in the home.
His new family will need to allow him time and be patient to help him settle in, but once he warms up to you, he has a beautiful nature, a loyal heart and will be your best mate.
To register your interest in adopting Farnsey you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
NAME is in foster care in the Newcastle, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $400.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
