Axel is a special needs boy, he has Addison disease and requires regular medication.
Weād love a carer who is familiar with the condition.
Axel is an 8 year old Moodle looking for a loving home. He is vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and wormed - all the basics are taken care of! His adoption fee is $695.
Despite his age, Axel is still a lively pup who loves to be around people. He's great with big kids and cats, but would prefer to be the only dog in the house (unless you have a chill dog who will ignore him). Axel has Addison's disease so he needs medication regularly, so experience with this condition would be preferable when applying to foster him. A secure fence or apartment living is fine for him.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who's ready to love you unconditionally then Axel might just be the pup for you! Visit https://www.bestfriendsrescue.com/take-action to apply today!

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereās some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
š± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petās bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
š¾ Details about your family
š” Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
