About Maggie - 8 Year Old Dachshund X (On Trial)
Meet the majestic, Maggie, who is a brown, 8-year-old – Dachshund X. She is a lovely quiet girl who does like to go for walks if they are short. She is okay when she walks past other people and other dogs. Maggie has also been fine with visitors including older children who are respectful of dogs (over 12 years).
Maggie is a good eater who eats whatever you will give her. At the moment her foster mum cooks up fresh human food for her and has noticed that Maggie loves to chew raw bones and raw chicken wings. She also likes to chase the odd toy or two and play a bit of tug-of-war.
Maggie loves her human and will follow her human everywhere. As Maggie tends to want her human all to herself, she will need to be an only dog. Maggie will only be placed in a home where she will be an only dog and no other pets.
Maggie prefers to sleep in the same room as her human. She currently sleeps with her foster mum, but could be taught to sleep on a dog bed in your room.
Maggie loves her humans so much that she gets a little bit anxious when left on her own. For this reason she needs someone who is home more often than not and who is able to leave her in the house when they go out as she will dig her way out of the backyard to find her human.
Whilst with her foster mum, Maggie has shown that she has been very well toilet trained and will wait for you to get home to take her out the back for a toilet break.
Maggie’s adoption fee is $500. She is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and wormed. Maggie is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW (Lake Macquarie). For more information or to meet Maggie, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com and submit an online application.

PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name NOT just the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
