No other dogs.
Fine with children of all ages.
Hi, my name is OJ. Sadly, through no fault of my own I need to find a new loving family to adopt me, my current family are moving and can’t take me with them.
I’ve been in a couple of homes during my short life, so the next one needs to be my forever home.
I’m a very handsome boy, even though I say so myself. Oh, and I’m black, which is a rarity these days, as SRV are mostly getting blue dogs surrendered, there was one getting photographed after me!
I fell in love with the photographer Abi, I wanted to go home with her, I kept sitting on her foot and I listened to every word she said, I would always run to her when she called me, but sadly my tricks didn’t work, although she did say that if she didn’t have a dog at home she would have snapped me up, so I’m keeping all crossed that there’s someone out there that will feel the same way about me as Abi did.
I’ve been living on a farm with many other animals, I never reacted to them whilst walking past them whilst on my lead.
I need to go to a single dog home because I can get over excited with other dogs which could escalate into a tiff.
I’ve lived with children of all ages, and I’m very gentle with them, I take food gently, but I do pull on the lead which I need to be trained not to do, I can get obsessed with the ball, which is my favourite toy, so it needs to be removed and hidden after I’ve had a play, if not I simply just don’t stop! I’m good in the car, I’m house trained, I know how to sit but that’s about all. I haven’t had much exposure to the outside world. I love to sit and snuggle up on the couch and watch TV, that’s one of my favourite things to do.
I need to find a family that is willing to take me to obedience school, like all adopted dogs should attend, it gives the new owners leadership skills and it help us dogs learn how to behave.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
