Sadie - 3 Year Old Cattle Dog X (Trial)

Stunning Sadie is a 3 year old Kelpie X.

She has the most beautiful eyes and seems to grin all the time. She is super affectionate and loves to show her affection with cuddles.

Sadie is low energy for a working breed and will happily sit around waiting to be taken for a walk. She will fetch a ball and a stick, will sit on command and her recall is strong.

She likes to be near her human, so once that bond is established she is good off leash. She loves her food and will respond to commands, especially if she can see a treat.

Sadie walks well with a halti lead and will sit when she sees it as she knows its walkie time. She has been in care with a Cattle dog X and is his best mate. She loves wrestling and chasing him around. She is dog selective, so will try and work out a pecking order if exposed to another dog for an extended time. That said, she is not lead reactive or aggressive to other dogs when on a walk.

Her perfect home would be one without small children as she is quite energetic and greets effusively. She will make friends with another dog but needs a good introduction.

She is allowed to sleep inside but sometimes prefers sleeping outdoors. She is not anxious when left alone, so will be fine with a full time worker.

Sadie is in foster care in the Normanhurst, NSW area. They are NOT currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $500.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
