I am a really sweet, shy girl who is looking for a calm patient owner who will be able to reciprocate all my love! I'm finding life here in shelter a wee bit overwhelming, and also I didn't have too much socialisation in busy areas earlier in life. I am looking for an older family (ie teens) who are able to read my body language and ensure I remain as stress-free as a I can, and also to continue my training consistently. Before we start with real life proper training though, I'll need time to settle in and find my feet as I'll have a bit of trouble remembering everything if I'm stressed!
When I'm starting to learn to walk on a lead, it would be best to start me in the yard and work our way up to the driveway, then maybe up the street, then perhaps around the block. I would really appreciate someone who can break things down into little steps for me!
If you have a calm social male dog at home I would like to meet him at time of adoption. I am not keen on boisterous dogs and will not enjoy dog parks or off lead areas.
