About Canary
*In foster care in Carlton, Sydney*
Canary is a wonderfully goofy, sweet-natured kitten who may be a little reserved at first but soon comes out of her shell - and look out when she does!
You'll be charmed by her tiny bird noises as she chases around a toy (or leaf, or hair tie), and when she's snuggled up with a feline friend. She's aptly named, that's for sure :)
Lovely little Canary is also an absolute purr machine and adores some good scratches with her humans in the afternoons. She's particularly partial to the laser toy, and will do exceptionally well in a home with one of her siblings or with a resident cat who's keen to be friends!
Like all Maggie's pets, Canary is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be lovely and quiet, with a stable routine and not too much hustle and bustle. My humans will need to enjoy interactive playtime, as that's one of my favourite things!
I love to cuddle with my foster siblings too, so ideally I'd like to be adopted with one of them (or into a home with another cuddly and kind cat who I can bond with).
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Variable, in the way of kittens the world over! I play hard in the mornings and evenings, and snooze away the hours in between.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Hard to say. Because I'm quite shy and easily startled, any introduction to kids would have to be very slow and calm.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along famously with my feline foster siblings, but I haven't had the chance to meet any other cats or any dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
