About Cruiser
** IN FOSTER CARE IN EASTLAKES**
Cruiser brings joy, lots of joy, with that killer smile, and a tail that goes 100 miles an hour when excited, he occasionally gets mistaken for a helicopter.
He loves a cuddle and a belly rub. He is a very food oriented boy, and whilst peanut butter is his favourite, he will eat anything, and quickly! He is very good natured, very excitable when new people or dogs come by but settles down! Cruiser is good on the leash, house trained and has good recall.
He has a pathological hate of vets and cones, but an extreme love of balls and material toys, which he will chew until they are dead! But it's the only thing he chews on. He is good in the car, jumping straight in, awaiting to see where we are off to next. Basically he's a little legend and he's hard to not just fall head over heels for!
** Cruiser has been in our care for many months after being rescued from a Sydney Pound with Heartworm Disease. Cruiser has been undgoing treatment for this and is doing very well, he shows no clinical signs but as it can take months to get the all clear we have decided to begin his search for a forever home and Maggie's will continue to treat Cruiser as needed until he tests negative for Heartworm.
MY IDEAL HOME: My ideal home is one where I get an unlimited supply of belly rubs but also a home where my humans are around more often than not. I have learnt that being left alone is not the end of the world but wouldn't love being left for a full working day. I currently live with 2 adult humans, one of whom works from home and this suits me well.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I have my mad 5 mins, but really I'm a couch potato who likes to nestle a lot, spending the majority of my day snoozing and playing with my toys.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Cruiser is friendly with everyone out and about but as he hasn't spent much time with small humans, he's likely best with those 10 and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I like to meet dogs out and about but I haven't lived with another dog before so I'd probably be best as the only dog in the home. I haven't met a cat but I feel I may not be suitable to share with one.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
