About Gecko
Gecko was found all by himself at wings wildlife park... he then entered our Foster Care Program to gain confidence in a home environment..... Gecko is a very sweet natured little boy. He can be timid at first around new people and dogs but soon feels comfortable to come out for pats and playing. He still likes to tuck himself away privately to sleep sometimes and it took him a good 2-3 weeks to almost completely stop hiding. I think his new owners will need to be aware that this may happen again when he is adopted and allow him a good few weeks or so to settle in. He is sometimes scared of loud or sudden noises / movements but is okay with loud music and tv, and the dreaded vacuum cleaner. Gecko loves other cats and kittens. He relies on them to boost his confidence and know that things are okay. Gecko would love a playful friend in his new house and we think he would do best with another friendly, confident and playful young cat or kitten in his new home. Gecko loves wand toys, toys with feathers, cable ties and playing with washing hanging on the rack.
He likes sleeping under the dining table on the chairs, on the backs of couches and will sometimes sleep on your bed of a night. Gecko doesn't mind being picked up and will politely tell you when he wants to be put down. Of a night he will come and sit on your lap and is an expert biscuit maker. He is a little purr machine and often purrs before you even start to pat him. He loves giving you nudges with his head when he is liking pats or wants more attention. Anyone would be lucky to adopt sweet little Gecko. Please give him adequate time to settle in and you will be rewarded with unconditional love and purrs for life.
