Chewy is a five year old pirate Persian looking for his next crew to call a family 🏴‍☠️🦜

He was surrendered to us after his owner came upon ill health and despite all the changes in his life he has taken them head on every time. He is just a happy go lucky boy who absolutely loves anything and everyone. He is loving his time in foster care with other cats and small dogs even if not all his foster siblings are the most accommodating. He just takes any hisses sent his way in his stride and wanders off to find a new friend.

Chewy would happily live in a home with other cat-friendly pets but if he had enough attention he would also be okay in a home of his own. He just wants to do anything that’s to do with humans and often is happy to chill on the end of the bed, couch or laze on the rug on the floor in the sun. He would be happy to consider homes with calm and respectful children over the age of 10 too.

Chewy is as enthusiastic about food as he is about cuddles and will literally shove his face into his biscuits and hope that some end up in his mouth. We have tried many bowl options for him and wider, flat raised plates do work better than normal bowls for him but they do not stop him from making a mess either. Luckily he is happy to try and clean up if you aren’t quick enough to get to it before he does.

While in care for us he has been desexed and given a clip to some areas of his coat to get him more comfortable. Chewy will need regular brushing/combing of his coat to keep it mat free and would also benefit from a summer clip to keep him cool in the hotter months. Chewy had to have his eye removed about 18 months ago but it doesn’t cause him any issues. It does mean that he must have an indoor only home of one with a secure enclosure with access from the house to ensure he is able to stay safe.
