Lola

Say Hi to Lola! Lola is a real pocket rocket! Always up for an adventure but she also is happy to chill with human company. Lola has quite the rescue story, as many do. She was injured, in very poor condition and lucky to be found by a lovely caring person and taken to the vets. Once x-rayed it was obvious she needed her leg amputated as she had a very badly damaged leg which sadly left no alternative. Her beautiful loving and kind nature, even with the pain of her injury, endeared her to all that met her. Lola is now fully recovered and she has adjusted fabulously to a life of a tripod. Lola is good with other dogs and does know her limitations when playing. If the other animals get too rough she will drop to the ground and refuse to play. She has excellent recall unless a rabbit pops up. She just has to give chase, but always does come back. She loves to wade in the river and play chasey with the other dogs. Initially she was nervous of car rides but now is happy to be strapped in and go on adventures. She is good with cats but hasn't been tested with kittens, but has shown zero interest in them from a distance. Lola must have come from a not so nice place as she is still initially worried and scared if you pick up sticks or the hose etc, she will scuttle off and watch from safety so she can see if any anger is directed her way. How anybody can be mean to her is unbelievable. She tries her best to please, gives hugs and kisses and loves to be with her humans. She would love to find a home with an furry buddy for companionship or regular visiting friend to play with.
