Gary

Meet Gary, the handsome gentleman who sits with poise and grace. He's a sweet and affectionate dog who loves showing his love by snuggling up to you and nudging you for pats. Gary may jump to greet you, but he listens well and will come and sit by you, give you kisses, and even bring toys to play with.

Gary is friendly, loyal, funny, gentle, and always up for some fun. His tail wags like crazy when he sees you, and it's impossible not to feel loved by this sweet boy. He loves playing fetch with sticks, running at the park or beach, napping, tug rope games, and old footie balls. At night, he likes to patrol the yard, looking for birds and lizards to chase away.

Gary prefers to eat his dinner with someone close by, and he's sensitive to shiny wooden floors. He may need some encouragement to come inside if you have these floors. He loves starting his day with a morning walk to chase sticks for about 45 minutes and then lounging in the sun throughout the day.

Although he's not the biggest fan of small dogs, Gary doesn't care much about other dogs in the park and will mostly ignore them. As a puppy, he lived with cats and was very gentle with them. As this was a while ago, Gary would need a slow transition to living with cats to ensure he's comfortable.

Gary can be sensitive to loud noises like storms, construction, and unpredictable fireworks. His ideal home would be where people are home most of the time, spending his time mainly indoors, but with outdoor access.

Unfortunately, Gary's current owners are rehoming him due to ongoing construction near their home. The noise makes him unsettled and anxious, and he's currently on medication for this. In his previous home, without the construction noise, Gary was thriving and not medicated.
