Little Perry is sooooo excited about her future family, as she has so much love to give.
She just loves spending time with her foster family, especially the little girl that she lives with. She is very driven by cuddles and attention lapping up every pat she gets from the hoomans. She is very people focused and would definitely make a great little shadow companion for her owner.
Perry can sometimes be a little exuberant with her kisses and jumping though and often needs to be reminded to stay calm and more pats will come! For this reason although great with kids it would be better that the children are familiar with dogs or old enough to correct these behavior's.
Perry loves to play, her favourite games include chasing bubbles, the hose and also playing fetch. Although currently she spends more time stealing the ball from the other dogs and trying to make them chase her instead of returning it to the hoomans.
She also likes to play wrestling with her younger dog friend and knows not to try play with the older dog of the house. She will need regular exercise and stimulation to make sure she stays out of mischief, as well as some chew toys that she can pull apart to keep her entertained; otherwise her teeth tend to stray onto things they shouldn't.
Perry has very good recall and comes every time her foster carer's call her, unless she knows she is in trouble then she tends to sulk in the background hoping you will forget about whatever mischief she has been up to.
Her foster mum thinks she mainly comes back because she hopes there might be a delicious morsel of food for her, because Perry eats EVERYTHING!!! She has not turned her nose up at one vegetable or fruit since coming into care and can often be found fleecing the guava and mulberry trees at her foster home.
Perry has had a rough start coming into care with some health issues, which has meant a few months of recuperating and regular vet visits to get her better.
The prognosis is very good, however it will be important for any potential owners to be aware of what Perry has been through for her future life with them.
This has also meant Perry couldn't be vaccinated until recently. For this reason she has not been exposed to lots of new environments and therefore will need time and patients on outings to get used to new things.
She got to go for her first creek swim recently and after a few minutes hesitation and a lot of splashing she was very happy to be out and about. She walks very gently on a lead and is happy to follow her hoomans anywhere!!
Perry is such a beautiful natured kind soul of a dog and deserves to find her happily ever after.
She will be the best dog for whatever family has room in their heart for her.
Please consider coming to meet Perry to see for yourself how amazing she is!
Perry is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, HW tested (negative), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
