Amaya

Well hello cutie !

Amaya is seriously the most gorgeous pup in town and has such a sweet and affectionate personality to match. This sweet girl has a beautiful fluffy coat and will win everyone over with those puppy dog eyes. She is very friendly with everyone that she meets and is more than happy to collect all the cuddles on offer. She is a well-balanced pup who is ready to find her perfect forever family.

While in foster care, she has been living with another friendly, adult dog and has been wonderfully social with her. As with any puppy, it is important that she is given positive socialisation experiences with other dogs, ideally in the form of play dates with other friendly and appropriate dogs rather than at dog off lead areas where the other dogs are unknowns. Amaya is expected to grow into a large dog who will require daily exercise to keep her happy and healthy throughout her life.

Amaya is a very smart puppy who has begun basic training with her foster carers. She is sleeping through the night in her crate and is progressing very well with her toilet training- she even knows how to use the doggy door. It is imperative that her new owners are committed to her ongoing training. She loves her toys and is food motivated which makes training a fun time for all involved. She will need to be trained beyond puppy school to ensure she is a well mannered dog. Amaya is yet to really start heading out and about due to her vaccination status, but so far she has been beautifully behaved on her adventures. Her new family will need to be committed to her continued socialisation with new people and places.

We are looking for a dog experienced home for Amaya where she will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. She will need a home with someone home more often than not as she is a young puppy. She will be ok as either an only dog or with another friendly dog for company. Amaya should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need to have a bed to sleep on inside at night. While she has not met any children in care, she should be ok to live with dog savvy children. She has not been tested with other species of animals. Amaya would also like to be included on lots of fun adventures to new places and get lots of cuddles at home.
