About Dex
Dex is an all-round lovely puppy. He has a wonderful energy about him and a really beautiful nature. Dex is a sweetheart who loves some attention and cuddle time on the couch. And just to top it off, he has a great head-tilt! Dex has the energy of a typical puppy, but it is relatively short-lived and he is happy to settle calmly next to you. You often see him trotting around wit a toy in his mouth being all proud of himself.
Mr social butterfly is friendly with everyone that he meets. He enjoys meeting new people and making lots of friends. It is the same with dogs – he is currently living with 4 other dogs of varying ages and sizes, and he gets along well with them all. Dex enjoys playing with the younger ones and would love to find a home with another doggy friend to play with. It is expected that Dex will be a larger medium or smaller large sized adult dog (possibly around 20-30kg) and is expected to have moderate energy levels. He will need some nice daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
During his time in care, Dex has begun some basic training. He is learning to sit, stay and how to walk nicely on a lead. Dex needs to continue to build his confidence out and about and will need an owner who is able to support his ongoing exposure to the world. As with any young dog, he will benefit from some ongoing training and is bound to win you over with is willingness to please. Dex is crate trained and sleeps there quietly throughout the night. He also travels well in the car and would be happy to come along on new adventures with you.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Dex where he will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will need a home ideally with another friendly and playful dog and/or where someone is home more often than not. Dex should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is currently living with a cat who he is interested in in a playful manner – if there is to be a cat in his new home it would need to be a confident and stable cat who wouldn’t be scared by his curiosity and playful nature. Dex would be fine to live with respectful and dog savvy children as he is a friendly fellow. This pup will make a wonderful addition to his new home and bring plenty of warmth and love to his new family.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of extra information about your family, any current pets and the type of lifestyle you can provide him with.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
