Klaus was placed in foster to recover from eye surgery and build up some confidence. After a few weeks of getting acclimated to his new environment, Klaus was able to explore the rest of the house. It took Klaus 4-6 weeks to truly feel comfortable in his foster home, so he will need a home that will give him time to settle in and feel comfortable.
Klaus is very playful and friendly with his two foster cat siblings. A home with other friendly felines would be best for Klaus as they help him build his confidence. He loves soft toys and carrying them around in his mouth, as well as balls and wand toys. He is a medium energy cat; enjoying playtime as well and quiet time. He doesn’t scratch furniture, but really enjoys his scratching post.
He enjoys affection but prefers all four paws on the ground. He also likes being brushed, just don’t touch his belly. Klaus is a gentle boy who enjoys a gentle touch. He is comfortable with other cats and older kids but prefers slow movements and a calm household. He would appreciate a quiet place in the home to call his own when he wants some privacy.
Due to his eye surgery Klaus must be indoors only for his own safety.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
