Hi, my name is Winnie, I’m a beautiful little pedigree girl who was sadly sold to people that already had my sister from a previous litter, we didn’t get along very well and occasionally fought, this isn’t uncommon for same sex dogs living in a household.
SRV are seeing this happen more and more which is very sad not only for the owners to have to choose one of their dogs to rehome but sad for us dogs as well.
I’m a very clever little girl and have been trained well, I know heaps of commands and tricks, far too many to list in my profile, SRV will forward these onto any potential new owners.
I’m house trained, crate trained, walk well on the lead, know all the basic commands and more. I take food gently, I have no resource guarding issues with food or toys, although I have got a favourite ball and can snatch it from your hand if you’re not careful. I’m fine when walking past other dogs in the street, I didn’t show any bad behaviour towards other animals on the farm I lived at, there were rabbits, sheep, horses & guinea pigs, I just ignored them all.
I’ve been in foster care for a few weeks now and have been very well behaved. At first, I was very scared and nervous, it took me a while to settle down.
I will need to be placed with people who are going to be patient with me and make me feel secure. I haven’t had much exposure to the outside world, so obedience school would be a fantastic place for me to gain my confidence, it will also teach my new owners leadership skills.
I’m good with children but because I can be nervous when I first meet people, I will be better suited with older children who are calm and not overpowering.
I fractured my toe about a year ago, it took a while for the vet to spot the fracture, and now occasionally it can get sore if I do too much.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!

Winnie is a four year old pedigree pup that has been through a lot in her short life. She was unfortunately sold to a family that already had her sister, leading to occasional fights between the two same-sex dogs. This situation led to Winnie being rehomed, but she has made great strides since then and is now looking for a loving forever home.
Winnie is an incredibly smart girl who knows many commands and tricks - too many to list here! She is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on the lead. She takes food gently with no resource guarding issues with food or toys, although she does have a favorite ball and can snatch it from your hand if you're not careful. Winnie gets along well with children 14+ as long as they are calm and not overpowering. Additionally, she fractured her toe about a year ago but has recovered well from it; however it occasionally gets sore if she does too much.
If you think you can offer Winnie all the love and loyalty she deserves in return, please visit Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application or click onto the link in the comments under this post!
Medical notes
Winnie broke her toe over a year ago on her rear right leg, if she does too much running it occasionally gets sore.
