NOTE: You are unable to meet Barclay until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Barclay in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Pocket pets or other small animals as I may find them fun to chase.

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require ongoing training
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
