With his striking grey coat and perfectly innocent expression, Thimble has model good looks. On his terms, he can be very cuddly and fall asleep in your arms, but this is rare as he is still finding his courage with people.

This little boy is still working out when to trust humans, but with the right love and patience his defences drop and he will relax with you and enjoy pats. Thimble needs an adult environment that will understand his fear behaviours and work with him to overcome and progress these.

Thimble was born a street cat and the smallest of five, so has learnt to hold his own with a warning hiss. He is still working out that this is not an ideal “hello”, but once he’s had his brave say he will allow you a pat.

While Thimble can absolutely love pats, he does not like handling, so patting opportunities are infrequent and he takes time to warm-up to prolonged pats. He is terrified of being be picked up and would prefer you to come to his level.

Thimble feels most at home when he has another cat or kitten there. He loves playing and snuggling with them, and he tends to come out of hiding and be more relaxed when another cat is present.

If you are looking to adopt a pair Thimble would make a great pair with one of his siblings – Buttons, Soxx, Cotton or Zipper who are all also listed on Pet Rescue.

Thimble enjoys playing on his own and in the company of other cats, so he would make a great buddy for another cat with some interest in playtime. Thimble he has not been tested with dogs and we do not recommend he go to a home with dogs.

Thimble will take time to warm up in a new home and will need some safe hiding spots and regular interaction. You will need patience to bring out Thimble’s best.
