About Gilbert
🐆 Gilbert is an 11 week old, medium-haired tabby kitten with white paws and a leopard-print tummy. he loves to roll on his back and stretch out long for a tummy pat, so you’ll be able to admire his beautiful coat pattern as often as you like! His large eyes and ears are matched only by his even bigger personality!
🐱🐶 Gilbert is an incredibly playful, adventurous and social kitten who loves interacting with humans, cats and dogs alike. He loves running around the house, practicing his jumping skills on the couch, playing with his toys and looking outside at people coming and going through the doorway.
🩵 Gilbert has had exposure to many people, both in small groups and large, so he would be perfect for households that enjoy hosting dinner parties - he'll be sure to become the life of it! He's also very vocal about what he wants, so although he is still learning how to interact respectfully with young children he may be too playful and mouthy for very young ones.
🐾 With other pets - either cats or dogs - he will become best friends as long as your pet is sociable. Gilbert's ideal home would include at least one other pet (ideally a cat) and plenty of people around to interact with him.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
