Kiki - 2yr Poodle x Shihtzu ~ On Trial 7/10/23

Kiki is a gorgeous 2 year old Poodle x Shihtzu who is an affectionate, playful and cheeky girl once she knows you. Kiki was extremely scared of new people and the big wide world when she first came to DRN. She has come a long way gaining confidence since then, so we are now looking for a loving forever family experienced with timid dogs who can continue to help her live her best life.

Please read her requirements in full before applying for Kiki. Only applicants detailing their experience with fearful /timid dogs who meet the attached requirements will be considered.

ABOUT KIKI:
- $650 Adoption Fee
- Located in The Entrance (Central Coast)

- Affectionate and playful once she finally trusts you
- Likes other small dogs and requires a small, playful and confident canine sibling
- Doesn’t like big dogs at all
- Playful and energetic and loves toys
- Very anxious in the car
- Very energetic !
- Barks if left alone
- Has been known to roll in manky, smelly stuff when given the opportunity !
 
NEW HOME REQUIREMEMTS:
- Suits experienced dog owners only. She will air snap or bite when frightened.
- Small to medium yard
- Late 30’s to 50’s year age bracket for primary care giver/s
- Best in a multi small-dog home as other confident small dogs help her confidence
- Someone home more often than not
- Suits a child-free home or a home with dog-savvy teens older than 16 years
- You live in Sydney, Central Coast or Newcastle areas and are willing to travel for a few meet and greet to earn her trust.
 
DO NOT APPLY IF:
- You live in an apartment or townhouse
- You are first time dog owners, inexperienced or are wanting a non-shedding dog
- You work long hours away from home
- You don’t have an existing small and confident dog
- You want to take Kiki everywhere in the car or travel a lot
- You have young kids or young teens as she will be scared of them and mouths quite hard when playing.
