Fred was devastated when he was left at our Erina Shelter. He was so sad and depressed. We have been doing our best to lift this sweet boys spirits but we feel he will not fully recover from being abandoned until he is settled in a loving home environment.
Fred is a soft and sensitive boy. He can be a little shy and apprehensive when meeting new people, but he does come around with a calm and quiet introduction.
Fred is wonderful to handle. He is quite and walks at a nice pace. When Fred is exploring the outdoors he keeps to himself and his only focus is his handler.
While in our care Fred has been a fussy eater. He is on the heavy side so we know he previously had a good appetite. Currently his favourite food is BBQ chicken but we believe once settled in a new home his appetite will improve.

Type of household: Fred would be at his happiest in a calm, positive environment. An empty nester or mature household would suit Fred perfectly. Fred must be allowed within the family home to spend time with his humans.
This precious boy loves cuddles and sitting with you watching the world go by. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who is home more often than not. Due to his beautiful temperament, Fred is the type of boy who could accompany you anywhere. He seems to bond with one person and they become his everything.
Other pets: Fred is not interested in engaging with other canine friends. Fred would be more than happy to be the only spoilt furboy of his new home. Fred has not been tested with cats at this stage. If you have a cat at home we will organise for Fred to be tested.
Fred's adoption fee covers: microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
Fred needs the love and understanding of a person who will never let him down again as his heart would break.

Adoption details
Dogs and cats come microchipped, lifetime registration, desexed, vaccinated and with a 14 day health & trial period warranty (please note that SoCares reserves the right to conduct home and yard checks prior to adoption).
DOG ADOPTIONS: We like to make sure all dogs and their new family (human and four legged) are a suitable match so if you have other dog/s we always book a meet and greet at a time suitable for you to ensure they will get on.
