About Marlow
****************************PLEASE APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ****************************
Marlow is a beautiful female German Shepherd and is 3.5 years old. Marlow is a sweet, loving girl who is looking for a family to join that will give her as much love as she will give to them.
Marlow is the most affectionate, cuddly girl who just adores everyone she meets, when meeting new people she gets so excited that her tail wags a million miles and hour and she will boop at your hands for more pats. There is no such thing as too much attention and pats for Marlow, she adores being around her people and smooching up to them. Marlow has grown up around children and is very gentle and tolerant around them, she would be suited to most family dynamics.
Marlow is a good girl who knows her basic commands and boundaries within the home, she is well behaved and will follow you around everywhere helping with the chores, she is the definition of a ‘German Shadow’ she just wants to be close to her people. Marlow has always been an inside dog and must be allowed inside in her new home and included as part of the family, she would do best in a home with someone home more often than not.
Although Marlow feels very calm and content within her home, the outside world is a bit of a different story… Marlow can be a little over-aroused and anxious when the lead comes out and it is time for a walk, she missed out on critical socialisation and training when she was a pup and can be a little scattered and zig-zagging whilst pulling to every smell she can! Marlow will need to work on her leash skills in her new home, she will need to build up her confidence and engagement with her humans.
Marlow is conflicted with other dogs, when she sees them out walking, she can be reactive and will sometimes put on a big outburst of barking and lunging to show how unsure she is. Marlow has been able to be slowly introduced to dogs in the past and was happy to be in their company in her home. Marlow will need to work on her reactivity in her new home; slow, positive exposure and building her engagement and ability to distract her will help her to focus on her humans rather than dogs walking past.
With slow introductions, Marlow may be able to live with a male dog in her new home, this would be pending a meet and greet and would need to be a tolerant dog that will not be scared off by Marlow’s reactivity. Marlow would also be fine as the only dog in her new home. Marlow has not been tested with cats or other small pets.
This beautiful girl is such a snuggle bug that is looking for a family that she can join and be part of, she just adores humans and would love someone to play with and cuddle up to for the rest of her days.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
