August

August is a sweet gentle boy who loves to receive lots of belly rubs. August loves to greet you with lots of love and kisses when you walk through the door. August loves other dogs, however if they are bigger he prefers submissive dogs. August will bark and talk while playing with his siblings otherwise he is a very quiet boy.
August is one of a litter of 12
All of his litter siblings will be going up for adoption over the next week so if you are interested in a few of this litter please be sure to apply for each of them. You will only be successful for 1 puppy from this litter if selected
His Mummy is a 20 kilo Heeler x Bull Arab x and Daddy is a German Pointer x Staghound at 43 kilos let's call him a mixed breed lol so as August weighed in at 8 kilos at his vet appointment we are thinking a Large size at full growth

Food
August is currently eating 3 meals a day consisting of premium dry food and boiled chicken. He is also fed cut up boiled chicken for treats while training. August loves his food and will do whatever is asked if it means he will get a treat. August shows no sign of food aggression.
Sleeping
August loves his sleep and will sleep from 9pm until you get up in the morning. He has been sleeping next to one of the teens in the house. During the day he will snuggle up with his sister on a mat or by your feet
Toileting/Training/walking
August is continuing to learn about toilet training and goes mostly outside but on occasion has had an accident inside. In his new home we would expect him to have a few accidents until he is used to his new surroundings.
August will sit when asked . It will be important that he goes to puppy school to further his training and socialization.
Due to his age and not being fully vaccinated August has not been for a proper walk but does practice lead tracing on the front lawn. August loves being out the front while training as he gets to experience seeing people, cars and other dogs. Once August is old enough and fully vaccinated it will be important that he is taken for a daily walk (short walks until older)
Exercise/toys
August loves playing outside and exploring the backyard. He loves to play in the sandpit and ball pit. August loves all toys and just loves playing in general. August also loves playing with his siblings.
Children
August is currently living in a home with 3 teenagers, which he adores. August has also been around other people and is very friendly, with adults and children. August has not shown any mouthy behaviors.
Dogs/Cats
August has not been tested with cats, but due to his age I don't see any problem with him being homed with a cat.
August is currently living in a home with multi dogs of all different ages and sizes. August would love to find a home with a medium to large size female dog. August would prefer a submissive dog who likes to play.
IDEAL HOME
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Female of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while he is a puppy and his bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training! August should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on his own in the backyard all the time. His new owner should dedicate time to training and take him to puppy classes.
He is young enough to learn if you have a dog savvy cat
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pups puppies do teeth and have sharp little puppy teeth
