About Kristoff
If you are interested in Kristoff, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/w1iDu99Rx4PpvG7e7
Kristoff has been living with 3 other dogs (1 large and 2 medium/small) in a house with a large backyard. He isn’t boisterous so could suit an apartment. Kristoff is super affectionate and wants to spend all of his time with you. Ideally as close as possible & always touching 100% of the time is on his wish list. He does get upset if he cannot be with you and he will cry out and whine. When we leave for work he is happy spending time with the other dogs but is eagerly waiting for us to come back. As he does get a little stressed when left we think he would be best suited to a home with another dog.
Kristoff has not been tested with kids yet, but he is very calm. When he sees something new or usual he just wants to look and have a sniff and take it in slowly, in his own time.
Kristoff is sensitive and needs a lot of attention. He is happiest when he is with you. He can be fussy at meal times with where he eats, and will leave his food if it means more time getting attention.
He is very calm. When he sees something new or usual he just wants to look and have a sniff and take it in slowly, in his own time.
Kristoff walks nicely on the lead and responds well to lead pressure and cues like slow down and stop. He is happy staying with you and does not want to rush off. Kristoff is not bothered by other people, dogs or cars while on walks.
Kristoff is learning how to use a dog door and holds through the night. He has not made a mess in the house. Sometimes he is too good at holding and doesn’t see the point in going to the toilet especially if the grass is wet. This training will need to be continued.
Kristoff is busy learning cues like recall, wait, up, out of the kitchen and bed.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
