Floyd is an adorable four month-old Border collie cross pup with a heart of gold. At 15 kg, (when fully grown) he is the perfect size for any family looking for a loyal companion. Floyd has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date on worming treatments. He loves to meet new people, and is great with children, cats, and other canines alike.
It’s hard to put into words how sweet this little guy really is. He is gentle, observant and very smart. He can sit, wait for food, drop and is learning to shake hands. He is learning to walk on a harness and absolutely loves meeting new people. Floyd travels well in the car and is amazing with kids and cats as well as other doggy friends. Floyd will make an absolutely amazing companion for just about any type of home.

Floyd knows basic commands like sit, wait for food and drop, as well as how to walk on a harness. He is eager to learn more and enjoys every minute of it! Not only will he make a great addition to any family home, but he is also learning to travel in the car.

The adoption process is as follows.
1. Please Apply here

2. Please include as much information as possible, ask questions in the comments section of the application.
3. All suitable applicants will be contacted via phone and given a phone interview.
4. After the phone interview we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog.
5. After meeting, and if all parties are agreeable, we will have a home inspection.
Generally we ask the you go home and consider everything you’ve learnt. Discuss with family, sleep on it and contact us the next day.

Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
