Chilli - 3 Year Old Domestic Short Hair (On Trial)

Chilli was adopted through DRN back in 2021. He had came into care from a local pound after being found as a very friendly stray. Through no fault of his own, his owner needs to re-home him. Currently he is still with his owner and we are hoping to help find him a new home.

Chilli is the sweetest male with a friendly and endearing nature.

This boy lives for affection, head scratches and pats, and is the first to greet you or your guests as you walk through the door.

As Chilli loves his humans so much, he likes to be your shadow and is very chatty - especially if you call dinner! He also loves spending his free time chasing his laser toy, or curling up on your lap or in a sunny spot for some R&R.

This boy has a heart of gold and his new home will be so lucky to have him.

As he is approximately 3 years of age, Chilli is very playful and would love a home with teenage children, or other friendly cats. He may play a little rough for smaller kids. He would really suit someone looking for a cat for company.

His ideal home would also be of the quieter nature - he’s intimidated by big dogs and is untested with smaller ones. He does need to be an indoor only cat unless you have a cat enclosure for him to have some outside time in. He is litter trained.

Chilli is in foster care in the Newcastle, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $100.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
