About Abu
Hi I’m Abu, I came into care from a regional pound along with some other kittens. I was so scared and smelly but now I am a big and happy boy.
I've had a couple of cat brothers but only for less than a week. To be honest I'm not a big fan. I can tolerate them but feel the need to swipe at them as I really want to be a boss boy.
I was very timid when I first arrived in care, but things have changed. I am now a very playful kitten who is constantly looking for bugs to chase, random pieces of string, chewing pot plants, maybe even a bit of fluff or a tassle on a cushion. I'm very imaginative, which keeps my foster family entertained.
These cuddles I get, well they are good now, and I will tell you by loud purring and following you. Snuggles on a bed are my favourite. But this is after you have filled my belly and I've had my play as they are my top priorities for a growing, playful kitten.
I also like you to talk to me. I will look at you straight in the eyes and listen like you are telling me the most important things in the world. My foster mum thinks I'm a clever cat.
I will miaow loudly at you if I am hungry. I get a bit bossy but in an adorable way.
I’m in a house with children, they aren’t young but they are quick and that sometimes frightens me but I come around quickly again. I had a dog brother, but he was exceptionally gentle with cats and I still wasn't a fan so I'm probably better without. I love guinea pigs, but not in the right way so I’m allowed to see them but aren’t allowed to sneak a paw in (although I try!). It’s a shame because they look like such fun.
I have a favourite ornamental egg that is my all time favourite toy. It's a strange toy for a cat to love but I'm allowed it and it will be coming with me to my forever home.
I am doing okay with my toileting. I had a few mishaps but am doing a lot better. I am a precious boy sometimes, so I like litter that is soft on my paws and really deep so I can have a good dig. It makes my foster mum laugh listening to me dig over and over. Im currently using soy and corn based litters. I also need quite a clean litter tray as I am a clean boy!
